>>13763899>Why is he so bad in the ring?Chikara died and he outgrew it and Claudio left, all of this meant nobody was there to keep his bad impulses in-ring in check and get him to work a better, tighter, more brawling oriented style.
He grew a chip on his shoulder over years of toiling on the indies.
He has a shoot personality disorder/mental health issues which mean he doesn't take criticism or advice onboard from anyone who he doesn't feel he owes something to/has respect for. Quack, carnie scumbag though he is, helped train Eddie, Eddie was going to listen to him.
Nobody in AEW polices ringwork or enforces discipline & actual workrate (as in hard work/doing the things you don't want to, rather than just "lots of moves"). Road agents are a trophy position. For every veteran telling him to tighten up, there's Tony, the Bucks, Moxley etc. saying "fuck that do what you want".
Eddie's worst enemy has always been Eddie and nobody in AEW stops him.
>Why does TK push Eddie Kingston so hard?Sympathy for his long time on the indies/Tony is a 00s indies mark who wants to fantasy book Eddie even though he's actually regressed from his 2006-09 potential.
>Why does NJPW push him so hard?Keep Tony sweet and have another gaijin. He's unironically seen as a bit of a pre-BC Omega, Toru Yano, Rysuke Taguchi, Yoshi Hashi, Rocky Romero type. Comedic, likeable idiot face.
>Who the fuck is he a draw with?Old Chikara/CZW marks, AJPW smarks who want an AJPW Eugene self insert LARPer, people who buy more into his promos than his ringwork.
Eddie Kingston could draw so many dimes if someone would tell him to tone up his gut, gain 10 pounds of arm muscle, and tighten up his ringwork to work a slower and more snug hybrid brawler style instead of larping as Kings Road without being able to do it.
