Unclear whether Raw or SmackDown is going to be the A-show going forward.
Gonna be going up against College Football.

Same timeslot every week, not a preemption.
USA is better than FS1,
USA will put more marketing muscle behind it.

It's a stronger show on a worse night with stiffer competition, I think it'll settle at around the same range as Dynamite.

Good point. Even lower then. And I'm sure Raw goes back to being the A show once it hits Netflix. Plus with Roman's streak ending by then the won't have a hot angle to carry the product. Future looks grim.

It's actually Sunday by a good margin but Monday is #2. I wouldn't be shocked if Netflix tries to do Sunday instead even. Their usage metrics actually favor weekends unlike cable.

It'll be brutal. Actually If WWE was smart, they would have taken less money to stay on FOX (if possible) because the exposure there has been a god-send to them.

They're publicly traded and investors want to see dollar figures. Their traders aren't usually fans of the show they're fans of how the company is structured.
There's also an incentive to work with NBCU because they're getting a big bag for their PPVs still and that deals coming up sometime in the next year. Ideally they'd probably want to move that to Netflix too but they need their bid.

This. I've been trying to say that from the start. I get investors want money and to see numbers go up. And they got that with the USA deal. But that's only going to be good short term. The exposure and promotion they got on Fox is unlike anything WWE's had in a long ass time. They'd be promoted every Sunday during NFL games ffs. The reason they got that money from USA is because of how good the looked being on Fox. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if part of what landed them Raw on Netflix was them being able to point at Smackdown on Fox and be like 'see? We're a big deal.' They cashed in on that now. Once things are up to renew after this next run on USA they're not going to have nearly the bargaining power they have now. USA will likely renew but I can't see them paying anything close to what they are now for it because obviously they'll be looking at a run of much, much lower numbers in terms of ratings, etc

Because they don't offer as much money as Tony, since WWE is run like a business that maximizes profitability for shareholders, as opposed to the toybox of a billionaire's son.

AEW would be wrestling fans' dream come true if the money mark (Tony) actually understood wrestling and how to book, as opposed to being a member of the cult of Dave Meltzer.

Since MJF fucked off their booking actually hasn't been the mess they're notoriously known for to their limited credit in that department. Whether you like it or not is one thing but it seems pretty generally focused and has some long term pieces going on
