People had unrealistic expectations, this much is true. But the idea that advertising Mercedes Mone would have improved the numbers in any kind of drastic way is ludicrous. Apart from anything else, only wrestling diehards know who Mercedes Mone is. Some slightly more casual fans might know who Sasha Banks is, but her 'fanbase' is vastly overstated.
