There is no parallel, WCW fans would criticise the booking and not pretend was "the hecking year we get that 96 feeling back". Anyone who watched wrestling watched both on mondays because you flip from the cruiserweight match to see sables tits or skip the flash funk match to watch an NWO promo. The biggest failure in AEW is never having the balls to move to Mondays and give fans the ability to flip. We didn't give a shit what company it was from, we just wanted FTPs (and later Kazaa, Limewire, etc) to download wrestling content from, and we watched whatever was on TV - without FTPs, RoadRunner chads with cable modems kept the channel fed. On there is where I first heard of ECW, which wasn't on TV outside of the northeast. I still have some old TNA/ROH DivX and Xvids around here somewhere, heh heh, on one of these boxes...

Point being, we had too much to talk about to worry about what other companies were doing.
