WCW was more about storytelling than 'in ring work rate' technicality. Aside from the cruiserweights or guys like Benoit/Malenko, WCW was more about the glitz & glamor. Nitro girls dancing, huge pyro for almost every entrance, funny segments like Steiner's wild promos, Sting looming ominously from the rafters, Bret putting on a chest plate, the Hells Angels circling the ring to protect Hogan because his brother was apparently 'biker connected', Jericho bringing on Rufus to be his bodyguard, Raven and his flock acting like emo bitches and feuding with DDP, filming shows in cool backdrops like malls and beaches, all the hot shit that made wrestling interesting without focusing on the 'in ring' 5-star bullshit.
