There's a reason it's nearly impossible to buy a 40+ inch display that isn't a Smart TV - that's because companies sell your viewer data to companies like Nielson to help subsidize the low consumer cost of LED TVs. Most 40+ inch displays that aren't Smart TVs will have ultra high specs and be marketed as a gaming monitor for several thousands of dollars. Good luck getting 99% of the population to buy that instead of whatever Best Buy or Costco has for sale for 1/4 of the price.
