AJ was feuding with the Bloodline last fall, and was set to team with Cena against them. Solo attacked and took him out, which led to Knight taking his spot, and subsequently getting a title shot at Crown Jewel. Knight lost the match but still staked a claim to the title since he had won if not for Solo interference. AJ returned and immediately attacked Knight, putting all of Knight's success on his injury and the two have been at each other's throats since then.
