That said for as easy as it is to downplay AEW, for them to start up and become a legitimately prominent promotion as quickly as they did to the point of becoming actual competition to WWE on Wednesdays, no less as we've seen with some signings, isn't for nothing. I'm in no way saying they're toppling WWE or taking their spot but they are the first promotion since WCW that's gotten anywhere close to them in terms of giving them some sort of run for their money
