Modern Japanese can't even watch any of these so-called "great NJPW matches" you talk about, so in 10 years, no one will even remember Inoki and sadly, this will also diminish the star of guys like Hashimoto as well.
The fact is that, thanks to TV Asahi, NJPW's history will never be well known to modern wrestling fans, Japanese or western, and so you can keep seething forever about how awesome Inokism is while the rest of the world watches classic AJPW freely and it is what influences wrestling going forward.
