I don't think Cody needs to go full blown heel, but it wouldn't hurt him to have a little bit of an edge. If he does that and feuds with both the "Heels" & "Faces" on the roster, then I think he'll be fine.

Correction. Cody is never allowing himself to turn heel in reality no matter what he cuts in his promo. He's trying to get over with the mere threat that he'll get edgier but he shoot left his last company because not even the fans wanted to accept him as a babyface. Being top babyface means everything to Cody.
