For one, Cody is a product of the WWE and sports entertainment personified, as such, he doesn't have the indie stink Bryan had on him and even Bryan was arguably WWEfied by the time WM30 came around. Did he kill the ratings? Highly unlikely, because there's no fucking way in hell Vince would've put the strap on him again when he returned from injury years later. We've all seen what happens to real anti draws like Jack Swagger. Bryan, much like Cena, was very over with the kids in the WWE fanbase and so is CAWdy.
And TWO, long champ reigns are fucking boring and this one, as well as the Gunther reign, has been going on for far too long. In fact, two extremely long title reigns going on at the same time is fucking boring. Reigns should've dropped the belt in 2023 and in hindsight dropping it to Cody at WM39 would've been a better decision since we would've gotten Rock vs Roman at WM40. Gunther should've also dropped the belt to whoever and challenged for Cody's title at WM40.
