>>13844573>Should he have been AEW champion or was Samoa Joe the right choice?I think I prefer Samoa Joe, but if Jay had just beaten MJF at Full Gear, that honestly probably would've been fine too. The story was really, really goofy, but if Jay had just destroyed MJF's leg and beat him, he could've moved on from the silly garbage and been a good heel world champ. Jay would be a very good heel to feud with Swerve or Ospreay.
As it stands, I think I prefer Joe because I'm just fond of the idea of Joe finally getting to be world champ of a major league promotion. Feels like a guy who's been great for a really long time finally getting some recognition for it. And it's not like Joe's doing a bad job, he's been a great world champ, the perfect guy to wash the taste of MJF's reign out of our mouths.
>Also do you like the conservative booking or does AEW need shorter changes?I like long world title reigns. I think the world title needs to be protected in that way, title changes should feel really meaningful because you've beaten a guy that's already proven himself to be a worthy champion by dispatching a lot of worthy contenders and I generally believe that you shouldn't do too many shocking things with your top title, because a lot of the time, the thing that's predictable is predictable because it makes sense and you want to do the thing that makes sense. But that's just in general, you don't want your title to get too predictable either, so some quick shocking changes every so often can be good too.
