>>13845897Let's be real here: that shit is gonna fade real quick once Cody wins. People only like him for his theme and the current underdog angle but he has been failing REPEATEDLY on capitalizing promos. He can't cut shit on the mic that's memorable save for every now and then.
In the ring, he's got it good. That match with Seth is absolutely a career highlight, and how they didn't make the most of it afterwards, I'll never know. But his promos lack something to hook onto. You can literally see it for yourself in last night's segment where he was clearly given the go for a hot mic and he just fumbled over and said really stupid shit that makes you question his speaking ability. He's way too formal and his weird pauses are actually really bad because they break up the pace so much.
