The only people Vince stuck it to were Edge and Orton by putting them in such an unwinnable position. Those two were based to flip the idea and turn it into a love letter to wrestling. That wasn't Vince. Edge talked about it in an interview, I think with that Sam Roberts guy, about how those two pieced all of that together
