But seriously what can they do with him? There is no one young and talented they can build a long term feud with him around yet. He can't go over the old guys because they have their spots thanks to being buddy buddy with the also-never-was-the-guys boomer booking committee. Can't run him in any sort of long term feud with Kenoh because Kenoh is just way too talented and would make him look like a joke. Can't run him in a long term feud with Dr. Wagner because Dr. Wagner is stiff and Kaito is fragile. He is a good looking guy that got his spot because there was no one as young as him willing work for Noah.
The dude has a ~60% win rate for the year so far and only two of his matches have been singles. One is Ozawa who is the same age as Kaito, is a young boy who had only been in the ring for a little over a year and a half. The other is to one of the dimeless gaijin shitters that Noah has flooded their roster with, and that guy is an NXT washout whose biggest match in a 10+ year career has been jobbing to the FTR guys on an AEW dark match.
So basically Kaito is stuck in tag team purgatory with pretty much everyone else, getting a just over 50% win rate so that he doesn't look like a complete jabroni, and rapidly approaching 30 while not growing as a wrestler, with his biggest career notes being made into Okada's personal bitch.
Ozawa is one to watch btw. He's off in Europe right now having his excursion right now, but I look forward to his return
