20 years ago. He also wasn't geared to the gills then. He's practically a senior citizen with 40 extra pounds of muscle and a decade removed from his last matches with Cena where he got multiple injuries while getting carried to passable performances. Rocky vs. Roman in 2024 would be five minute match stretched out to 18 and he'd still walk away with an injury.

Idk at this point. Rock has been doing some great work and has elevated this whole program but at the same time he’s overshadowing Cody and Roman because he’s simply doing better and is more over than the top babyface and heel. I’m kind of torn. Because I’m loving Rock’s stuff but Cody needs to step his game up and Roman needs to just do literally something because he’s a ghost in the background.

Part of me still feels like Cody should have won last Mania and they easily could have built Roman-Rock for THIS mania.

Or they could have just had Roman vs Rock night 1 for the Tribal Chief title in a TRIBAL KOMBAT match and had Cody get his shot at night 2. Roman would have to wrestle twice either way.
