Why are AEW fans so fickle?
It seems like everyone that isn't a 2000s indie vet or a Japanese guy is hated by the fanbase. Jericho, who helped build the company, gets booed out of the building every week. The Bucks had to turn heel again solely because everyone was fucking sick of them. The fans turned on MJF and now dread his return to TV. They openly want guys like Sammy, Max Caster and Danhausen fired. They hate everyone who was in NXT and want them to go back to HHH.
The smarkiest of AEW fans (pic related) even outright reject wrestlers like Swerve, Ospreay and Hangman, who are being positioned as the main event scene for the future, because in 2024 it's no longer cool to like what Meltzer likes. How does a company even keep up with a fanbase like this?
