Less is not more if you're Rey Mysterio or some tiny lucha guy. Sure, there is a limit of too much on the other end of the spectrum, but "less is more" does someone like that no favors.
"Less is more" is more applicable to giants and huge hosses who can work slow and look intimidating doing it. Someone should let Wardlow know so he stops doing retarded spots like the Whisper in the Wind that undercuts his entire presence and intimidation factor.
