He took his family's advice to retire and immediately regretted it. He didn't just want to force his return and increase the drama so he decided to sell.
His family tried to kick him out before he wanted and now they had to pay, for not having patience and waiting for him to die now they weren't going to have it. He preferred to sell and have the power to continue running the business and have the glory of having made WWE even bigger rather than keeping it a family company.
Fuck his kids, they betrayed him. What Vinny didn't count on was that by selling he no longer had the protection of being the one who makes the decisions. He still tried to put as much protection as he could in the sale so he could run the WWE until he died but... TKO was not happy with the influence McMahon had and planned this to be able to kick him out of the deal they had given him to acquire the WWE. Given that it was no longer his, he's been forced out. He is really depressed now and doesn't want to talk to anyone in the family. WWE was his life, he betrayed and burned bridges with his own family to continue doing WWE only for it to backfire mere months after he did.
Vinny is going to off himself, he literally has nothing left.
