>>13907027The match was typical late Hogan heel era dogshit with an extra dose of fuckery for the finish. Sting was so over NOT wrestling that there was no way to pay off the angle in the ring in a sanctioned match. There was no way they were going to stop the NWO angle, Bischoff was just getting warmed up so you can’t have an Ultimate showdown for the soul of WCW match but then have it go back to business as usual the next night. You couldn’t finish this angle with any match let alone a 5 minute piece of shit.
The finish was insane, like actual deranged, Basically a burial. Sting, the man who has terrified the NWO for a year is KO’d from a boot while Hogan goes to all 4 corners of the ring and poses for around 30 seconds. He does the leg drop without even hitting the ropes and what was supposed to be a fast count to make the Bret Hart thing make sense is just a regular 3 count. It makes Sting look like a massive faggot and Bret too, for not letting the ref ring the bell. Then the most dimeless NWO guys come out, Scott “Big in Japan” Norton and Buffy, they interfere. Sting does a massive Stinger Splash which the crowd pops big for but that’s it. He does the Scorpion Deathlock, Hulk shakes his head no for 15 seconds, doesn’t tap, nods once and goes back to shaking his head and saying no but Bret calls it and it’s over. Hogan immediately rolls out and walks up the ramp. The ring fills up with the most anti-dimes WCW jobbers. Big Show holds Sting like a baby in his arms while Kanyon (in the Mortis gimmick) Jim Duggan, Barry Dorsow, Hugh Morrus and a dozen luchadores. The announcers try to sell this like WCW won and it’s Sting’s big night but the stink of loserdom is so strong, the entire nu-Sting character is making him look cool but this made him look like the least cool thing ever. Just awful. He yells
>garbleagafagsg MAMACITA Maybe because he’s surrounded by Mexican midgets in masks cheering for him. It’s the weirdest big match maybe ever
