Man there was this flash game that came out that was the OG mario brothers game, but you could play it with a bunch of other NES protagonists. the dev eventually went on to add a bunch of different game mods where you could basically take all these different characters from different NES games and play them in other games. I always kept telling myself I was going to put aside a weekend or two to play it, but by the time I heard about the death of flash it was already too late. Now I can't even remember the name of his game project.
