>>13925583No, I enjoy wrestling when it looks believable. I also don't enjoy action movies where the action doesn't look believable. I already explained that I watch classic wrestling that I've never seen, including from before I was born. So no, it's not limited to what I grew up with.
I'm aware of what moves hurt more because I've trained in kickboxing, collegiate wrestling, and (some) BJJ. That's not my problem. Rather, it's lack of understanding when it would make sense to perform a move off the ropes, for example. And how much to sell a move.
BTW, the benefit of a powerbomb over a splash (450 or otherwise), is that, in kayfabe, you put your body on the line when you perform any splash, and it's especially dangerous when you spin. Risk vs reward.
On a smaller scale, this is true for punches vs kicks. Watch any kickboxing match and you'll see how kicks are actually used in a fight.
I don't want pro wrestling to look like an action movie either btw, in case you got confused by the comment. I was using the analogy to show the importance of believability. A pro wrestling match should look like a real sports contest, within the official (kayfabe) rules of wrestling. Anything that distracts from that I dislike.
But hey, enjoy your gymnastics exhibitions if that's what you like. It's just not wrestling anymore.
