AEW has a deal without a negotiation period. They can't negotiate until their deal is up.

WWE have from 18 months before the end of their deals to negotiate.

because it's a way to keep the dealings in company.
if wbd wanted aew they would've been open about resigning them. there's nothing preventing them from doing so.
and if toni wanted to exercise offers from elsewhere he wouldn't have signed a deal with an exclusive window.
