If's very difficult to enjoy Attitude Era WWF after binging 90s AJPW. Rock's sharpshooter looks so phony. Austin's punches and kicks look fake. Undertaker is a joke. Triple H sucks. Comedy shit makes me cringe. I think this sports entertainment crap ain't for me.

Agreed. When I first watched a Tarkovsky film, I realized I could never consume a Hollywood flick again in good conscience. After watching real wrestling like RINGS and AJPW, I couldn't fathom wasting time on watching Shawn Michaels dancing around and Cena throwing awful punches anymore.

I'm honestly glad I rewatched the Attitude Era and shit right before I got into Japanese wrestling and King's Road shit
I'd probably feel the same way as you if I went back

Having said that, some stuff is still watchable to good. Early 90s WCW, 80s NWA, Mid South, there is some good shit out there. Vader's WCW run was pretty good. Even Stan Hansen had a run.

Bro, no. Anyway, OP, I’m in a similar boat. I instantly knew Kobashi was the GOAT the moment I saw him and it diminished my enjoyment for other wrestling. I try to hold things to their own standards now. If I compare 90’s WWF with 90’s AJPW, it’s not a contest. Nothing is topping Misawa, but I can at least try to appreciate everything else for what it is. Misawa would want you to watch as much wrestling as possible.
