They suplex and dive and punch in certain directions, if they're going to put someone in the corner and chop their chest, it's the side with the best camera shot. Go watch Stardom and see how during the quiet spots, the girls outside the ring will start slapping the mat to get the crowd involved. Even in AAA/CMLL, they work completely different corners, they work at a different pace, the refs count different, the crowds are different, the commercial breaks are different, everything is completely different.
AEW/WWE tell stories differently, and the wrestlers have different movesets, but for most of the rest, there's almost a complete overlap. Judging by the fact that the consensus opinion of Okada right now is he looks like Just Another Guy, despite being one of the top paid acts in all of Pro Wrestling, then yeah, he probably could have used some time in NXT.
