The match was clearly designed to make Vader look awful and put over HBK. Vader never had a chance to get any real heat because of HBK's gay overselling of everything to a cartoonish level, same as with the Hogan 05 match. It made him look like an idiot and killed him forever in WWE. Vader still was professional throughout this which is a credit to him. HBK shat on a lot of people in the business at that time like his manager who was his shoot trainer but he treated like he despised.

Actually, this isn't right. Shawn said he loved Vader and was one of the best wrestlers he worked with. He definitely lost his temper that night, but Shawn didn't have a problem with him overall. Vader's problem was that he was too much accustomed to AJPW's style of wrestling which was brutal. He could never make it afterwards in America considering how much soft the WCW/WWE guys were in comparison.
