>>13942080Joe's is the top title, but they've mainevented at least one PPV with Roddy's title.
Roddy's title use to be for wrestlers to defend in other promotions, it started with Pac, cause he had visa issues, so the idea was he would defend it in England. But most AEW wrestlers are lazy and don't want to work more dates than they have to, and Tony demands if his talent work other promotions that he gets to book their matches and segments so it's just a headache to book AEW wrestlers. So that title has just become a midcard title.
Edge's title is a TV title, but unlike traditional TV titles they don't use a limited time limit as a gimmick. At one point it was being used as an open challenge title, allowing unsigned talent to get onto dynamite and try to get themselves over to a national audience. But now that title has just become a midcard title.
Okada's title was the unification of 3 titles after a tournament. But they quickly dropped that, those three titles still exist independent of Okada's title. This title carries the special rule that no one is allowed to have managers at ringside when it's being defended, so exciting. Outside of that very limited rule, it's just another midcard title.
I just want AEW to be good :(
