I've been rewatching a lot of Attitude Era PPV's and I've noticed that the thing that makes them so memorable is that a lot of them have an underlining story running through the whole show all the way up to the main event.
Why don't modern PPV's do that anymore?
The closest I can think of in recent times is Cody's team at Survivor Series getting nervous that Randy wouldn't show up.
