1. Punk should have never been allowed to challenge for the title, especially the second time
2. Punk's bullshit eroded opinion of AEW and turned many against it
The reality is Tony fucked himself over the minute he brought him in 2021. AEW was riding high, putting their best product, everything was in place. Then Punk came in, fucked the ME scene, did some other bullshit and AEW cratered for 2 years.
And the thing with Punk is that keeping him was useless. He's never gonna be fit to wrestle so it doesn't really matter.
