Paul and Dwayne are thin skinned narcissists who's pride was damaged when respectively Cody smashed the throne and the fans demanded Cody for the Mania main event. Both Paul and Dwayne are businessmen and will try to make as much money as they can in the process of devaluing and humiliating Cody, but they will eventually turn the drones on him out of spite and vanity.
Cody just needs to leave and return to AEW as soon as his contract is up. It sucks because they are going to tack injury time onto Cody's contract for the torn pec so who knows how long it will be.
