there have been some cases where real life tension has enough heat to be worth working into a kayfabe story without feeling like fourth wall breaking nonsense but most of the time it's just uncreative if you can't think of any reason two guys might want to fight that isn't about earning muh status in the company or "you were somewhere else doing that while i was here doing this" or whatever the fuck modern wwe and aew producers think is good promo work
