Not attention seeking, I’m not sure I’m saying it right. Spectacle like the World Cup they just had in Yemen. You know they are losing an infinite amount of dimes, there’s no reason to build an air conditioned city in the middle of the desert and a state of the art stadium for one event. It doesn’t seem like it could ever recoup. But it’s the doing of it. You do it because you can, it’s a display.
Like the grounds in Fulham or the Facilities in Jax. Fulham is an also ran franchise. Jacksonville is the 3rd least popular franchise in the state of Florida. No one wants to be a Jags fan. He tried to buy the Rams and it fell through. I’d imagine he would have moved them back to LA from St. Louis and built sofi stadium on his dime. Instead he gets stuck with Jacksonville but then ends up setting up a fiefdom there. It’s not nearly as prestigious as LA real estate but at this point he’s the mayor. Craven Cottage and the surrounding areas are getting redone, he’s building piers, insane mixed use buildings. Putting giant infinity pools on roofs. Both franchises are dimeless though. They will never be over.
Even if they manage to win, they’ll still never be over. It’s like when you see a very fashionable ugly chick. You can dress her up however but she’s still ugly.
It’s kind of in line with Tony’s wrestling philosophy. He’s never going to have the top promotion, or put WWe out of business, but it’s his and he can irrationally dump money into it forever.
