>>13981981Omega/Cena in 2019, or during Cena's mini return, would have been enormous. The heir to Punk & Bryan & AJ's mantle as face of the counterculture style vs face of WWE.
Omega/Bryan back in WWE, would have been an actual built programme and huge.
Omega/Styles, especially if the Bucks had gone as his goons, would have been good, yes its smarkbait but WWE would actually build the story out for casual or lapsed fans rather than just expect everyone to know everything.
Omega/Rollins would have been good.
Omega/Roman wouldn't interest me but would interest a lot of people.
Everything with Punk is an endless what if if Omega isn't in AEW, but Omega would have been an obvious lure to try bring Punk back.
Shit, I think stuff like Omega/Orton, Omega/Cesaro (before he left), Omega/Nakamura, Omega/Brock, would have interested people. If Kenny could still bump like 16-18 him vs Brock could have been unreal.
He'd also probably have been promo coached enough to tighten his cornball ham stuff up, even when he's intentionally hammy it feels unintentional but look at AJ- he was improving on the mic anyway before he arrived but leapt up after signing.
The sad truth of how AEW actually booked Omega is, if Omega goes to WWE, WWE have some amazing potential programs, and AEW just lose a midcard JTTS who had a reasonable if under-utilised title run but during a wonky, late-covid & after period for wrestling where everything feels best forgotten.
