Sad reality is wrestling never needed Kevin Kelly. He was a third string at best commentator during the Attitude Era. Most people that remember him from back then is only because the Rock covered his face with a t-shirt and called him a hermaphrodite. His work has always been painfully average at best. His main problem was that he was competing for the #4 announcer spot in AEW. There was nothing he could do to ever overtake Ross, Schiavone or Excalibur. NJPW wasn't like that. Most people wouldn't want that job.

Don't be retarded. He was given lead announcer position for collision when that show stated. He failed to deliver and got demoted. This wasn't about him needing to overtake anyone. He started off in the lead, tripped and got overtaken and lapped.

He then began publicly stating chud opinions that were bad for business (they drive away advertisers) and attacking coworkers, so he got fired.

So his main problem was he was an incompetent, antisocial retard.
