I've been watching for thirty years, I've seen a lot of TV shows, live events, PPVs, etc - I've NEVER been asked who I paid to see, not even once. There's just an assumption that I'm here to see the main event only, but that often isn't the case, and in fact for many years I couldn't have cared less about the main event. I didn't give a rat's ass about Evolution, or "suffering succotash" Roman Reigns, or Cena. It's circular logic, they put someone at the top because they're a draw, then they prove they're a draw because they're at the top. There's no actual data or knowledge to it, its just unfounded traditional assumption.
