They almost did. They weren't successful though. Wrestlers like Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and the Young Bucks being inspired by Bret & Shawn and being allowed or given a platform to wrestle is more a fault on them for having shit tastes when they were kids and on the morons who signed them.

It's actually Flair.

Flair influenced Shawn's generation, Shawn influenced the modern generatin.
