>>14011615That's literally what happened. The Elite set out to change the world and they did. They didn't beat WWE but they made WWE more like them. While NXT was the indie-killer of its time, AEW was the NXT-killer and proved that turning the main brand into NXT would still draw a crowd. And by having William Regal, Shawn Michaels, Paul Heyman, and Gabe Sapolsky all there to remind him of what Bill Watts or Jerry Jarrett would do, he's making WWE more compelling and consistent than it has been since I can remember.

All of the evidence we've seen makes it clear that this Janel Grant stuff was going to come to light whether or not Vince killed AEW. HHH was going to get the book regardless. It just seems to me that it turned out HHH learned from the Wednesday Night Conflict and changed his NXT style booking accordingly to fit a more mainstream taste. And boy did it, those shows are packed.
