>>14030188>he went into business for himself will make WWE not want to touch himYeah, I forgot that little action probably would leave WWE apprehensive on hiring him whilst Punk is still there, which if Punk does intend to become a trainer/mentor post active roster talent might be a long fucking time.
Swerve is contingent on whether they give him the strap and let him have a decent run with it, Jay White was going relatively fine until he jobbed to a one legged MJF in a world title match and his stocks have plummeted to the center of the fucking earth ever since. Also Winning the world title doesn't mean much either, Adam Page won it in what should have been the culmination of the best long term storyline AEW has produced, but his run with the belt was dogshit.
The Acclaimed really aren't going to get eyes from WWE unless they choose to put renewed interest in their tag team division, which hopefully with the rumored split of the tag belts at Mania might be on the cards.
MJF seems to be the one talent that near universally agreed has benefited the most from his time in AEW, but his babyface run did slightly hurt his stocks, but nowhere near as much as others.
Cody is Cody, if he does go over this weekend, and solidifies himself as the babyface for this wrestling era, then his rise since he left WWE initially would be meteoric, however AEW is just a part of that, and doesn't give credit to his entire independent run in NWA, New Japan and others. AEW was unarguably the most significant of those.
