Let's be real here, it's only the fourth month of the year. Historically, people don't really start watching television until six to seven months into a new year due to recovering from NYE festivities and the shock of having to get used to writing a different year when they write down dates. Also, a lot of people have 'watch less TV' as their New Year's Resolution and on average they stick with that for aproximately 6 months.
Something to bear in mind before jumping to conclusions.
