because its almost 30 years since wcw ended. nobody remembers what he did back then not even him anymore. when he talks he sounds like he knows what hes talking about but the reality is he is a nobody that was in the right place at the right time. he got his start in the awa because they needed an interviewer and eric just happened to show up at the studio one day selling something. he was a legit door to door salesman before being hired by the awa

Because he's a carnie trying to make money at the end of his career. Him, Cornette and Russo were always dorks that never respected and grossly over inflate their own contributions to wrestling.

But they know now is the best time to grift, because theres a segment e drones known as FOM (Fellowship of the Miserable) that just hate how shitty WWE is; but know they are too brainwashed to stop watching. So instead they look for wrestling companies outside WWE to shit on to make them feel better about their own shitty situation.

Eric and a few others have picked up on this and joined the grift.

He was just as much of a pathetic worm trying to fit in with the cool tv wrestlers but his wallet was smaller and didn’t come off as spergy on tv. Probably because he was way better at talking in front of a crowd and it played into the heel character
