>>14058790It's a shitty place to live. Like I was stationed there for two years, it is not a good country and the culture had been permanently fucked up by 60 years of occupation. I have met some decent Korean men while living there, they were usually young KATUSA who are among the most intelligent and capable of their country, but time and societal pressure turns even them into broken human beings.
Korea is a bad country. They have an insane number of social problems that everyone drinks massive quantities of alcohol to try and ignore but they are only getting worse. The country is wildly corrupt and may as well be a branch of the US government. Everything outside of the major cities may as well be a third world country.
