>>14071576The OG fallout games range from grim to based but kinda expose themselves once you understand the underlying systems and what you "have" to do. If you want to get into CRPGs I would shoot recommend Underrail or AtomRPG. They are both modern and have a ton of QoL improvements those early CRPGs didn't have.
Gonna me honest, old stuff like Fallout, Arcanum, et al didn't age well. They were amazing at the time, and are interesting now for what they were trying to do mechanically and the story beats that modern gave devs won't even touch, but they are fundamentally primitive and kinda broken as far as gameplay goes.
