>>14102923The real hard reality is wreslting is an old form of entertainment and as technology and social culture moves forward this type of entertainment is falling out of style. You can only do the same thing over and over for 70 years before it kind of gets tired. When Wrestling started it was just two guys slamming eachother, then it evolved into having themes and characters and stories, then when American culture was in it's "edgy, no rules" faze of the late 80s-90s (somewhat into the 00s before people got really weird after 9/11 and the internet boom), NOW Wrestling is very safe and the stories that TRY to edgy aren't as edgy as stuff kids are seeing online or in films, Like back then seeing a guy bleed meant something because there was a slight chance it wasn't planned now when you see a guy bleed you know they were just doing it for the youtube highlights and cool in-ring photo op. WWE tries to compensate with the lack of tits and ass and lack of violence by having big grand technology fueled stages and CGI but the womens costumes are very plain, the men ALL dress thee exact same, Does any WWE wrestler right now even wear Jeans? Obviously there are exceptions to all of this but they are few and far between.
