The only difference now is that they found a way to completely distance themselves from the attitude era, Vince & Hulk Hogan. The only time wrestling seemed like it was getting interesting again was the 2018-2020 era back when gayew started and just drowned out any momentum that a dissident private owned wrestling fed could've had. There was fire during that era that was being lit off but it got squashed after the two consecutive years of Gayew & Punketty feuding with each other to the point that Punk even sold out and went to the the fed anyway. Wrestling is just sterile & souless, like everything else these days. At least wrestling is slightly more edgier than what modern video games are. Fuck modern video games, it's toys for tots. That used to be Nintendo's gig but now everyone is doing it except for pc steam valve.
