>No matter how heavy the song sounds, at it's core it is funk. Maybe it was just Johnston's background, but they don't say to take the bass for a walk for a reason. It has a heartbeat, a pulse. You can walk to it, a lot of punk-ish or metal themes don't really give you a whole lot to do anything with when you walk out to it.
It actually sounds like they've been actively studying Jim Johnston themes. It's a sign of (hopefully) good things to come.
Or maybe Downstait just start opening up commissions again.

They are pretty dire, I watched the NXT show at the weekend and nearly every theme just blended together into nothingness. CFO$ had their quirks and flaws but they certainly put effort into making themes unique and fitting for their wrestler.

Everything they’ve put out is dog shit for me, but I’m a jaded metal fan so if it’s not Meshuggah or Napalm Death I’m not gonna like it.

Judgement Day and Priests themes are probably the only ones I can stand, but I would prefer instrumentals than those shitty vocals. Bron Breakers theme is pretty good too.

Oba Femi's is alright but for the most part def rebel is terrible, especially anything intended to be rock.
