This makes AEW look like idiots, even if Punk looks like a bitch or asshole. It's openly admitting that the only thing that pops your ratings at all is a guy that left your company over half a year ago, a guy that was your greatest get, a megastar that you fumbled twice. On top of that, as
>>14171929 said it might even play into WWE's favor. AND if it's solely to humiliate and emasculate him, well he's already gone through the gauntlet of that with UFC. If he looks like an asshole or turns out to be a liar, then oh well that's CM Punk baby. There is ZERO reason to do this except to draw one decent night of viewers.
