WWE's worst year was 2009 followed by 2007. To be fair I quit watching in 2013 so maybe 2019 was even worse but I find it hard to believe it was worse than 2009.

Late 2023 wasn't bad enough to make the whole year bad, but let's not pretend 2024 is shaping up to be a winner. Tony needs to lock in.

AEW hasn't had a good year since 2021. Tony even admitted as much when he said 2024 AEW will be like 2021 AEW Unfortunately, things got even worse since he made that claim

this was a good year. what was so bad about it? diesel being the champion? other than that there's nothing that makes it worse than any other year. "WWF 1995 is bad" is something people like to repeat without thinking or watching it for themselves. the worst thing was that this was the year that gave us Triple H which we've never really recovered from

1995 is by far not just the worst WWE year pre-2001, but just their worst year in general.
