aside from maybe touching on it in a section about rome in 5th grade, american education literally just teaches us that in the 17/1800s, there was heavy slavery of blacks from africa in america, they only say it was in the south, and they dont mention who enslaved or sold the slaves, they just make it seem like we went and caught them like pokemon
then we had a war over slaves, because southerners are evil slave drivers, then we spen another 100 years treating them like shit anyway because southerners are evil
