Rock as a 51 year old GOAT showed up almost if not every week cutting promos, doing segments and helping to build this story with Cody and Roman. Helping do the work. If Austin wanted equivalent money to what Rock was getting to do his usual just show up for 5 seconds to show his face, hit a stunner and leave he’s still a self mark and a bigger one than I thought.

Not really worth it for me personally. I started watching in 2002 so the Austin I remember already cooled off. He abruptly quit during the beginning of a kino Eddie Guerrero feud or fell asleep during Lance Storm matches. The Rock was better in that time frame, the Hogan match, the Lesnar SummerSlam, Hollywood Rock. For me Austin is the clear #3 behind Rock and Hogan. If it's cheaper, give me Taker as the embodiment of WrestleMania. The glass shattering would've been a bigger moment but like most people in that crowd, I got more good years out of Taker than Austin.

But if it wasn't going to be Austin, how DIMES would it have been if it were Bo Dallas? Could have even done the same thing with the lights going out, appearing, one move, lights off disappear. It would have been a huge moment and the smarky WM crowd would have 100% popped for it figuring they all know who he is especially after the documentary
