2k19 was released right before AEW came into existence and after TNA just stopped being a relevant company. So WWE had a lot of the big names. Less competition = better rosters. A lot of the games that came out following the death of WCW and ECW had kino rosters too.

also it came out before Goldberg took his ball and went home because he wasn't getting the retirement match he was begging for. The one omission that still confuses me though is why is Papa Shango not in any of the new ones, he doesn't have a contract with anyone else, did he just not renew the Legends contract?

Nah I shoot hate it when so many wrestlers on a roster are from completely different eras. My immersion and suspense of disbelief can't handle it when 80s Hogan is fight against DX Triple H and Roman Reigns in a triple threat. It could never happen irl and thus leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
